Job Description

  1. Develop and execute sales strategies to promote and sell animal feed products to new and existing customers, including livestock producers, feedlots, dairies, and poultry farms.
  2. Identify and prospect potential customers within the designated territory, building and maintaining a robust pipeline of sales opportunities to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.
  3. Conduct thorough needs assessments and consultative sales discussions with customers to understand their livestock nutrition requirements, production goals, and budget constraints.
  4. Recommend appropriate feed products and nutritional solutions based on customer needs, livestock species, production goals, and feed quality considerations, leveraging expertise in animal nutrition and feed formulation.
  5. Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process, including product selection, pricing negotiations, order processing, and delivery coordination, to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams, including production, logistics, and customer service, to ensure timely delivery of feed products, resolve customer issues, and address any logistical or operational challenges.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, animal health research, and regulatory changes related to livestock nutrition and feed additives, incorporating this knowledge into sales presentations and customer interactions.
  8. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, veterinarians, nutritionists, and industry associations, to promote brand awareness, gather market intelligence, and identify opportunities for business growth.
  9. Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) systems and sales tools to track sales activities, manage customer accounts, and generate reports for performance analysis and forecasting.
  10. Participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to promote feed products, showcase expertise, and expand professional network within the agricultural community.
