Description Seeking a new and challenging opportunity to further enhance your career? Corteva Agriscience currently has a vacancy for a Contract Analyst on our Research & Development Operations team. The Contract Analyst is a valued member of the R&D Contract Operations team, primarily involving contract drafting, preparation of requisitions, maintaining databases, tracking purchase orders, and processing invoices.
Responsibilities - What You'll Do: - Provide knowledgeable guidance and high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Gather circumstantial facts and coordinate resources to ensure efficient and effective issue resolution
- Proactively coordinate with colleagues from Research, Finance, Procurement, other internal functions, and offshore support entities to deliver results
- Lead or coordinate completion of tasks and assignments including, but not limited to:
- Draft contracts for third-party business engagements
- Receive quotations and agreements from stakeholders
- Ensure documents are compliant with internal checklists
- Enter requisitions into relevant systems and monitoring through approval processes
- Confirm purchase orders match requisitions and addressing variances
- Communicate invoicing instructions to business partners and providing necessary support
- Update sub-functional databases with key information
- Receive invoices from vendors, confirming that milestones have been met or that services have been received, and approving in SAP
- Record invoices in internal databases and tracking through the payment process
- Initiate support tickets for delayed or rejected invoices
- Reconcile SAP to ensure that all invoices paid are tracked
- Create financial reports from functional databases upon request
Qualifications Qualifications - What You'll Bring: - Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Undergraduate or graduate student with an interest in agriculture. Candidates must be enrolled in classes the semester following their internship with Corteva.
- Must be able to relocate to Johnston, IA or Indianapolis, IN for the duration of the internship.
- Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) for 10-12 weeks during the timeframe of internship (typically May to August).
- Prior experience with contract administration or expense processing support
- Familiarity with business law and contract law principles
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in use of spreadsheet software such as MS Excel
- Proficiency in use of communication and document-storage tools such as Microsoft Teams or SharePoint
- Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet departmental timelines
- Ability to collect facts, understand circumstances, and recommend solutions
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with accounting software
- Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), TRAC 2.0 Sophia
- Demonstrated tolerance of ambiguity
