We are looking for a strong Senior Cloud Engineer to help build core infrastructure services that power the next generation of digital farming solutions. If you have demonstrable knowledge and experience in developing, deploying and managing large-scale multi-region and multi-cloud infrastructure platforms and looking for an opportunity to use your skills to build something that impacts the world this is the opportunity you've been looking for.
Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure:
- Architect and deploy robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions using IAC principles.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
Develop and Maintain Automation Tools:
- Utilize Python and Go to build and maintain automation scripts and tools that enhance our cloud infrastructure management and operations.
Cloud Platform Management:
- Work with major hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to optimize performance, cost, and security of our cloud environments.
- Manage resources, monitor usage, and implement best practices.
Collaborate Across Teams:
- Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to align cloud infrastructure with project needs and objectives.
Monitor and Optimize:
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the health and performance of cloud services.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues to maintain system reliability.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for cloud security.
- Implement and maintain security controls to protect sensitive data and systems.
WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required qualifications- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of knowledge in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, Golang)
- 4+ years of experience with developing and deploying distributed cloud systems and services in multi-cloud environments - AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- 4+ years of experience in developing scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure software or distributed systems, and accountable for its success
- Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
Preferred qualifications- Experience deploying Containers and scheduling frameworks (e.g. Kubernetes, ECS)
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, or other CI tools.
- Demonstrable strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, application security, distributed systems, and experience supporting multi-tier web application architectures
- Effective communication skills to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with various teams
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Strong customer focus, ownership and accountability.
- Certification in any of the following: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms.
WHAT WE OFFER Base salary estimated range between $151,000 - $227,00.00 annually, depending on the hiring location. You may also be offered bonuses, RSUs cash equivalent, or commission.
