Plant Human Resource Generalist - Clinton, IA
This position will be on-site 5 days/week

Job Summary
The HR Generalist will report to and partner with the HR Manager at the Clinton, IA location.This position will provide HR support for various levels of management and colleagues within the plant. The ideal candidate will foster innovative ideas, have a desire to explore new possibilities, and great attention to detail. Under general supervision performs a variety of HR and payroll functions.

Essential Job Functions
  • An individual who will help drive key initiatives through colleague engagements, partnering with locations on workforce planning, and helping colleagues further develop within ADM.
  • Will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to our Core Values while promoting them throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Will work weekly with department leaders to ensure timely processing of payroll
  • Assisting with recruitment by working with Talent Acquisition COE and plant colleagues which may include scheduling interviews with on-site salary colleagues, following up with TA about interviews and ensuring new colleagues are in proper process for onboarding and ready for new hire orientation. Performs HR portion of New Hire Orientation.
  • Develop and maintain successful working relationships with plant leadership in order to influence and provide effective HR processes, advice and support.
  • Actively champion and promote all safety related policies and programs to ensure colleague engagement and commitment to the benefits of working safe. Partner to cultivate a workforce planning strategy and knowledge transfer process to build current and future bench strength, supporting succession planning.
  • Increase understanding and consistent application of policies, procedures, and practices through training, coaching, one-on-one communication and policy interpretation.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer or to assist in getting information for human resource programsincluding but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Manages the hourly payroll functions and ensures timely submittal to ADM Payroll. Trains and communicates payroll changes to plant management to ensure compliance and timelines are met.
  • Manage the position bidding process which may include; posting open position, notification of awarded position, and confirming transfer to awarded positions occurs within the timeframe within policy guidelines.
  • Provide feedback, coaching and support for Performance Excellence and other development programs.
  • Ability to produce month end reports and create requested graphs within Excel.

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, state and federal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently, take on initiative and willing to assist with driving results.
  • Ability to build trust, gain support and influence others.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience
  • AS/AAS in Business, Human Resource or related field is required.
  • BA/BS in Business, Human Resources or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' work experience in Human Resouces Generalist role preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience processing payroll required, at a large facility preferred.
