Job Description

  1. Safely operate a commercial truck with liquefied petroleum (LP) gas cargo to transport and deliver LP gas to residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
  2. Adhere to all relevant regulations and safety standards governing the transportation and delivery of hazardous materials, including Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
  3. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and LP gas delivery system to ensure safe operation and compliance with mechanical requirements.
  4. Load and unload LP gas cylinders or bulk tanks using appropriate equipment and techniques, following established procedures to prevent spills, leaks, or other safety hazards.
  5. Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction while minimizing fuel consumption and vehicle wear and tear.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service by delivering LP gas in a timely and courteous manner, addressing customer inquiries or concerns, and maintaining professional conduct at all times.
  7. Monitor LP gas levels and equipment functionality during delivery and address any issues or discrepancies to ensure accurate and reliable product delivery.
  8. Complete delivery tickets, log sheets, and other documentation accurately and legibly, recording important information such as delivery locations, quantities delivered, and customer signatures.
  9. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules, report delays or incidents, and provide updates on delivery status.
  10. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck cab and cargo area, including proper storage and securing of LP gas cylinders or tanks, to ensure a safe and professional appearance
