Career Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment to receive, store, handle, and distribute grain products efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor and maintain grain storage facilities, including silos, bins, and elevators, to ensure proper storage conditions and prevent spoilage.
  • Conduct routine inspections and cleaning of equipment to maintain operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
  • Blend and mix chemicals, fertilizers, or pesticides according to specific formulations and instructions.
  • Ensure accurate measurement and mixing of ingredients to meet quality standards and application requirements.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines for handling hazardous materials, including wearing appropriate protective gear and implementing containment measures.
  • Collaborate with agronomists, farmers, and other stakeholders to develop customized chemical formulations and application plans.
  • Keep detailed records of chemical inventory, usage, and mixing activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitate inventory management.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Participate in training programs and stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and technological advancements related to grain handling and chemical mixing.

Are You Qualified?

  • Previous experience operating heavy machinery or equipment.
  • Able to work with hand and power tools as needed.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a Class A CDL (with our assistance).
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug test.
