Job Description

  1. Oversee all aspects of agronomy operations within the designated location, including crop planning, field scouting, soil testing, and agronomic consultation for growers.
  2. Manage a team of agronomy professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and training to ensure efficient and effective performance.
  3. Develop and implement agronomy sales and marketing strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share in the region.
  4. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of agronomy inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides, and seeds, while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  5. Collaborate with growers to assess their needs, provide tailored agronomic recommendations, and support them in optimizing crop yields and profitability.
  6. Monitor and analyze agronomic data, such as crop performance metrics, soil nutrient levels, and pest pressures, to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
  7. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards in all agronomy operations, including pesticide application, environmental stewardship, and employee safety.
  8. Develop and manage budgets for agronomy operations, tracking expenses and optimizing resource allocation to maximize profitability.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in agronomy, and incorporate them into the operation to maintain competitiveness.
  10. Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders, including growers, suppliers, industry organizations, and regulatory agencies, to promote the company's reputation and facilitate business growth.
