Custom Applicator

Responsibilities:

• Operate agricultural equipment such as sprayers, spreaders, and applicators to apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides to crops.
• Ensure accurate calibration of equipment to achieve precise application rates and coverage.
• Follow agronomist recommendations and application schedules to optimize crop health and yield.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks associated with chemical handling and application.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform routine maintenance to ensure proper functionality.
• Monitor weather conditions and field conditions to determine optimal application timing and minimize environmental impact.
• Record detailed information on chemical applications, including types of chemicals used, application rates, and field locations.
• Communicate effectively with agronomists, supervisors, and team members to coordinate application schedules and address any issues or concerns.
• Participate in training programs to stay updated on industry best practices, equipment operation techniques, and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

• Ability to achieve appropriate licensing.
• Ability to work around chemicals and obtain hazmat.
• Must be able to work overtime hours in peak seasons (fall and spring).
• Able to maintain Class A CDL with financial assistance from company.
