Facilities Engineer - Decatur, IL
This is a full-time, exempt level role.

Position Summary:
The Facilities Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day activities of Capital AFE projects, Contractor management, maximizing process flows of bulk material handling equipment, review reliability trends for equipment life span to develop long term capital projects, working with Capex to maximize large scale FEL projects. Facilities Engineer will be required to work with different divisions within our organization to capture future capex needs. Facilities Engineer will be required to work with Design Services to maintain facility integrity of structural concerns. At times will work closely with reliability for the rebuilding key equipment to minimize process upsets. The position will be engaged with Process Safety and facility safety to ensure systems are up to date and operating effectively. This position will also have areas of engagement with electrical systems and that they are to code and develop future projects. Daily this position will be engaged with operators, supervisors, and superintendents to ensure a safe and effective process is being followed while looking for opportunities to improve.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide Technical support on bulk handling equipment
  • Contractor management including safety briefings, schedules, and safety observations
  • Develop and implement Compliance, CIP, and NDE capital projects
  • Develop and maintain the 1-5 year capex plan for the facilities
  • Continuing communication of project list and communication with key capex holders
  • PO/PR writing
  • FEL and Wave documentation
  • AFE writing.
  • Communication and planning with Ops and Commercial
  • MOC and SOP writing
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED with years of OJT
  • Technical Certification
  • 5-10 years of experience in bulk handling process
  • Troubleshooting/problem solving experience
  • Strong people skills
  • Mechanical, electrical, leadership
  • Job Hazard Analysis and safety compliance
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft office, email, etc.)
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills
  • Report writing
  • Ability to train others
