Job Summary:Under general supervision builds, maintains, repairs and installs electrical equipment across a wide range of plant operations.
Essential Job Functions:- Participates actively in safety and skills training in pursuit of personal improvement
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of production processes, equipment and operations in the interest of diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions
- Performs preventive and predictive maintenance duties on plant equipment
- Diagnoses electrical failures and performs repairs on production and facilities equipment as required
- Experience installing conduit and wiring in an industrial setting.
- Able to wire motors, motor starters and a variety of other components and troubleshooting same.
- Experience working with low voltage, 120v, 240, 480v and three phase.
- General understanding of plc's
- Able to work safely. Understands how to use a meter to determine proper lock outs.
- Has worked with gearboxes, belt/chain drives, bearings, seals.
- Installs new equipment and performs preventative maintenance duties as necessary
- Possess general computer use knowledge
- Maintains manuals of replacement parts, specifications, blueprints of equipment and maintenance requirements to facilitate repairs, also maintains such files and records in an orderly manner for future reference
- Documents work order time, work performed and parts used by completing time records through use of the Maintenance Management System
- Conducts regular inspections of tools, safety and production equipment
- Develops and maintains knowledge of hand and power tools used in the repair and maintenance of plant equipment
- May perform reasonably similar or related duties as required.
- Assists in keeping the department in tour ready condition.
- Prefer a minimum of 3-5 years of Industrial or commercial electrical experience and/or two (2) year degree.
- Must successfully complete all ADM Safety Certification requirements
- Basic knowledge of process equipment
Experience:- Good regular and prompt attendance history
- Excellent safety record and awareness
- Previous plant/process experience
- Experience in any of the following areas is a preferred:
- Automation/PLC
- Low/Medium Voltage
- Mechanical
- 480V 3PH wiring, diagnostics, and repair
- Millwright
- Preventative and Predictive Maintenance
- Mobile Equipment (forklift or manlift)
- Rigging
Skills Preferred:- Good organizational and communication skills, and must be self-motivated
- Ability to work well with others and with little supervision - (Required)
- Willingness to assume and learn new responsibilities
- Housekeeping and sanitation skills
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary
- Attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills
Working Conditions:- May be called in to work unusual or extended schedules due to equipment breakdowns or similar circumstances
