Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician/Metal Fabricator to join our maintenance team at our Doniphan, NE production facility. In this position you will perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure optimal production up time with a special focus on metal fabrication. We are looking for candidates who are creative, enjoy finding inventive solutions to challenges and thrive in a continuous improvement setting.

This role will be on-site at the Corteva location.

What You'll Do:
  • Complete and install metal fabrication of structural assemblies such as personnel platforms, equipment supports, guard rails, etc.
  • Follow fabrication and construction drawings for various projects.
  • Utilize fabrication equipment and tools such as hydraulic shear, hand brake, drill press, mitering band saw, welder, plasma cutter, etc.
  • Support plant operations, capital projects, location safety efforts and assist with seasonal equipment preparations.
  • Ensure proper set-up, calibration, operation, and preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain and repair small engines, mechanical drive components, and conveying components.
  • Update and maintain equipment records and drawings.
  • Operate equipment such as: aerial boom lift, telehandler, skid steer, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:
  • You have your high school diploma/GED.
What Skills You Need:
  • You have a creative and innovative mindset to provide solutions and improvements.
  • You have a proven history of metal fabrication and possess excellent welding skills (Gas Metal Arc Welding GMAW and Shielded Metal Arc Welding SMAW preferred).
  • You can plan and execute projects to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • You have a valid US drivers license.
  • You are flexible and can adapt to changing priorities.
  • You have strong computer skills.
  • You have proven problem solving ability, thrive in a team environment, and have good communication skills.
  • You are willing and able to operate construction equipment.
  • You are willing and able to climb and/or work in elevated areas; stand/sit for extended periods; work indoors/outdoors and in hot/cold, dry/wet conditions.
  • You are willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. (with or without reasonable accommodations) and enjoy physical hands on work.
  • You are willing and able to work a primarily day shift schedule as well as overtime hours, on call availability and occasional shift work including nights and weekends when necessary.
What Makes You Stand Out:
  • Experience in one or more of the following: industrial maintenance, millwright, HVAC, pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Experience with operating heavy equipment
  • Experience with troubleshooting electrical and automation systems.
