Job Description

Milling Engineer Leadership Development Program - Various Locations

This is a full-time, exempt position.

The Milling Engineer experience provides an excellent foundation on which to build a career, where recent grads learn the real world of manufacturing within ADM-from facilities and processes to products and employees.

A typical career path for an ADM engineer begins in the position of a Milling Engineer assigned to a specific ADM facility, which could be a dry or wet-milling operations plant among other types of processing plants. We will help you gain experience leading employees, troubleshooting and processes, learning equipment, and managing challenges within the plant.

The first year begins with on-the-job training through observation and hand's-on experience then typically progresses to having oversight ability over a production unit. Within 12 to 24 months, the Milling Engineer will meet standard development goals under the supervision of their hiring manager and Milling leadership. At that time, the colleague is encouraged to be open to new learning and career advancement opportunities within ADM, most likely at a different location than their first assigned city. Although relocation is not necessarily mandatory, the ideal candidate will be open to relocation in the Midwestern US for the first portion of their career.

Milling Engineers work in several different production units allowing you to develop processing and troubleshooting skills while also developing and improving leadership and management skills. After being assigned to lead a work group of your own, you will have an opportunity to apply your own leadership approach with employees and management to accomplish the work of the unit.
