Reliability Manager - Decatur, IL

Job Summary:
The RCM Manager is a key leader in building and leading change in their assigned scope area. They are considered a leader in the maintenance management team.The individual is responsible for driving step change improvement of plant reliability while also championing the continued move from reactive to proactive maintenance. They will apply their knowledge and experience to ensure continuous improvement to optimize the company's physical assets, maintenance and reliability processes, and strategies to maintain.
  • Deploy the equipment reliability strategy and ensure it is integrated and part of Performance Excellence
  • Lead a team of reliability/maintenance engineers, PdM and Lubrication individuals.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager with asset health / capital planning for the facility.
  • Capable of developing strong bonds with operations.
  • Supports development of asset management strategy that aligns with business needs and is integrated and part of Performance Excellence
  • Supports plant maintenance team to optimize plant resources to improve efficiencies through reliability processes.
  • Supports the maintenance organization with clear roles and responsibilities and staffing.
  • Ensure a deep understanding of current methods in the reliability and maintenance.
  • Utilizes downtime and cost data to prioritize improvement opportunities around equipment reliability
  • Provide technical/engineering support to the plant maintenance department; including in field precision maintenance.
  • Identify continuous improvement projects and develop business cases in collaboration with plant operations
  • Effective usage of maintenance planning, scheduling and execution processes using ADM's chosen computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Sets priorities and expectations for all direct reports
  • Responsible for the growth and development of all direct reports; coaching and mentoring towards developmental goals
  • Guide the development and completion of Action Items to deliver tangible results in the field.
  • Main point of contact for all RCM initiatives that are being deployed at assigned scope area
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related with 10+ years of experience in R&M activities
  • Electrical or mechanical experience in a manufacturing maintenance and engineering environment (corn processing considered a plus)
  • 5+ years experience managing direct reports
  • Proficient in predictive and preventive maintenance
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, Cause and Effect or FMEA methodologies
  • Proven ability to lead multifunctional teams
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills (Including the ability to present information to a formal group)
  • Familiarity with food safety and process safety management
  • Tenacity in pursuing objectives to completion correctly and on time
  • Strong team player with the ability to proactively change plant culture
