Plant Ops Planning & Scheduling - Effingham, IL
This is a full-time, salaried exempt level position.

REPORTS TO: Operation Manager

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for planning and scheduling daily production at the Effingham facility. You will work with the operations team to create an efficient schedule that meets production and customer service requirements. This role involves hands-on coordination and communication within the facility, ensuring all packaging supplies and raw materials are available. You'll also help sequence products to maintain food safety and quality standards. Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager, Customer Service representatives, the Commercial team, and plant leadership.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Active, hands-on involvement and daily presence within the facility.
  • Troubleshoots problems.
  • Perform as part of the staff leadership team.
  • Effective and proactive communication.
  • Ability to understand and be proficient in software programs. (Maximo, WEM, Oracle, Microsoft Office)
  • Monitor the workplace for improvements and safety concerns.
  • Review production tickets.
  • Manage holds.
  • Respond to and follow up on customer complaints.
  • Work closely with personnel from the Quincy Office dealing with scheduling and production issues.
  • Participates in the monthly sanitation/quality/GMP audits.
  • Monitor stock levels for approved formulas/customers.
  • Schedule batches to be ran to make ship dates while sequencing approved formulas.
  • Remix out of tolerance batches. Adjust the formula in WEM and allocate product to be remixed correctly.
  • Ensure proper flushing and sequencing of batch tickets.
  • Any other tasks deemed necessary by leadership.
Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-5 years of production experience required.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be computer literate with working knowledge of systems such as Microsoft Office, Maximo, WEM, and Oracle.
