Elevator Worker- Mendota, IL
This is a full-time hourly position.

Job Summary:
Load and unload grain trucks. Set up and run facility equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Basic housekeeping: including sweeping and shoveling of grain. Otherwise to include all general job tasks required at ADM Grain Elevators.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate truck dumps
  • Load and unload grain trucks
  • Operate MCC controls for equipment
  • Perform maintenance on grain conveying equipment
  • Keep work area clean
  • Measure bins
  • Operation of bin temperature monitoring equipment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Ability to adapt to ever changing job responsibilities
  • Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends and nights
  • Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting when needed
  • Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude
  • Ability to work with heights, work in confined spaces
  • Work in environmental conditions, such as hot and cold temperatures and a dust environment
Qualifications:
To be considered for an opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • High school education or equivalent is preferred
  • Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures
  • Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, shovel material, sweep and dust
